 >:(Those floods have a lot to answer for !!
My landline went out on Feb 8th and since then there have been three promises from BT giving dates when it would be fixed. The next is 3rd March. Apparently some ducting has been flooded and electrical equipment buggered up and all has to be replaced.

I found my old mobile and charged it up up and arranged for all incoming calls to be diverted to it. All worked very well, except we keep leaving it all around the house and can't find it or hear it if it rings.

WAMTD? A phone bill from BT.

Andrew

The fact that BT has sent you a bill is just a reminder that you need to be asking them for compensation for a lack of service.

I've long since having any 'feeling' towards my suppliers. I am just a number and a source of income to them. To me, they are just a name and number and blackmailers who extort money from me at every opportunity.

There was a similar situation here from the ice storm and power outages in December.  Some people had no power for a week but their bills were higher!  It just happened to fall in a cycle after rates went up and these were their first bills with the new rates.

Horse riders annoyed me today!!  >:(

They ride through the village where I live, wearing a tabard saying 'please pass wide and slow.'
I did so, and was really annoyed that there was no nod of the head, no wave of the hand, no thank you accompanied by an appreciative smile. Nothing at all. In my book that's just plain rude!!

May the Force be with you.

I fully agree. A little courtesy costs nothing and generates goodwill in the giver as well as the recipient. It's not only horse riders, though some them do appear to look down on everyone else, metaphorically and actually. It's the same with car drivers, when you do them a small favour such as letting them go first through a pinch point.

That's a good point Simon.
Manners cost nothing and car drivers can be bad too.
Courtesy by all would surely make the roads a more pleasant place to be.
May the Force be with you.

Are these all experienced riders?  They could be hanging on for life!  Or think they are.

Jediboy

Don't know Don.
I'm not asking for much , just an acknowledgment. Not too much to ask I feel.
May the Force be with you.

Chris

It is not.  I was just wondering if they were too scared to let go wave.  Though a head nod could be done.

Bad manners is one thing that drives me mad.  >:(

An old saying from years ago was, Manners maketh man from William of Wykeham. Motto of Winchester College and New College, Oxford.

More irritated really. Being new to Twitter I hadn't realised that any debate is terminated by the person who deploys an ad hominem attack first (the more vile the better, apparently): this not only ends rational argument, but in so doing completely validates the point of view of the abuser in their eyes.

I can't be doing with the thing, life is too short, account deactivated.

Lightroom's print module. Is there a more infernal user interface anywhere this side of iTunes? I seriously doubt it.

The print screen clearly shows 4x6 and I set the printer to 4x6 before I started. So when I print it comes out on A4 paper. For two passport photos. What a waste.

It is strange, but not unheard of. As a person who frequently interacts with horse riders (horses are the second most popular form of transport in Suffolk after tractors  :2funny:) it is a mixed bag.
Bit like those cars that carve up cyclists in a bus lane...

It annoys me at the time, but then i remember that i have more important things in life to worry about.

OK, been on twitter for a few years now, and i didn't realise such an unwritten rule existed, not that i care.

At 140 characters per statement, it is easy to get the wrong end of the stick. But then i tend to use Twitter as a bit of fun, and a way of hooking up with other togs etc.

I'm guessing you got in with the muppets or what ever their current 'cool' name is. As for followers and people to follow, well i never let either get above 50 any more. I can't keep track of 50 friends and family, let alone 50 people on twitter with only 140 characters with which to exchange information.

What annoys me more and more, are those parents who allow their little darlings to bring their scooters into shops, public transport and even hospital corridors. And ride them!
