I suppose it's a form of annoyance, certainly not bemusing or uplifting. Lost a friend to cancer on the weekend, learned another is on deaths door, cancer again. Another friend who's the driving force behind a small arts group I belong to has announced she's quitting just as we're about to hold our annual show. I fear in my heart the group will wither and die without her. I guess I am annoyed with fate.  :'(

What's worse is, it's a sign you are getting old.  :o

That, OB, is what frightens me, the realization I'm getting old, once I imagined getting into my 80's but watching friends and family dieing off in their 60's has changed that for me.  :'(  I car pooled to the funeral with another old friend, it was a 2 hr. drive (lengthened by the fact we got a bit lost) there was a lot of, remember so and so?

Spending literally hours installing a new hard disk recorder into the AV system, only to discover when I went through the setup process that the TV tuner doesn't work - not even slightly. Grrrr. So I had to take it out again and rewire everything back to how it was. Which was when I found out that one of the RCA plugs had broken off inside a socket on the TV . . and now I've got sand in my pants (allegorically speaking).

I've had more successful afternoons.

That was brought home to me when Lillian Board died in 1970. She was a few months younger than me. Up-til then I though I was immortal.  :o

Sitting down to the Bhuna curry I had just cooked, complete with mango chutney and poppadom accompianment and I feel a warm sensation on my top lip.....the old red stuff started flowing didn't it. Spent 5 minutes and a wad of tissue cleaning myself up, looked like something out a horror film........un-expected nose bleed, although I have been under the weather the last few days........Oh I finished my curry though...
Never argue with a stupid person, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Double the shock when they're young and athletic for sure. Beggars the imagination as to why. Colorectal cancer is what's killing my older brother and was killing my cousin until a massive heart attack took him.

Took my long lens and went for a drive out in the country. Could I find any birds anywhere? Not for love nor money.

APPLE - read an article how they'd dropped the price of the iPhone 4S to $99. Yes, in the good ole U.S. of A. it's still $400 here and it's £319 for UK folks.  >:(

Lightroom's print module . .  again.

After Aber's kind help sorting out where to actually chose a printer (very well hidden, not under 'print to'), which I managed to remember, I wanted to quickly print some small 10x15cm pictures. I changed the printer settings to the right sized paper, clicked print (remember 'print one' gives you no printer dialogue WTF?), it did print, but not the image, just a small corner of it.

Back to the drawing board, and Qimage, for the time being.

Later: Got the prints from Qimage, the quality is so much better than the LR output I'm only ever going to print using this tool in the future.

ARGGGGHHH!

Why does Lightroom even have a print module? - it's just a way of creating a useless waste of paper. Today I was trying to print a contact sheet of a quick selection set. I thought "I'm not trying to print anything for keeps" . . . Got the images all nicely showing on the page, header says A4, print setup says page is A4, but LR prints the sheet miniturised in the top quarter of the A4 sheet.

It's not like my blood pressure isn't high enough already  :knuppel2:

I'll just have to take a screenshot and print it some other way.
