Just tried to find my panoramic view of Southampton and beyond, only to find I had not uploaded it to CC.
So I decided to enter it immediately, as my memory isn't what it was, obviously. And of course, I have to enter the new fangled competition.

I was struck by the light; the setting sun against the sky, and on the trees and houses. (Taken from my terrace.)

I am in with dark Skies, Taken earlier this year. Just got back from 10 days away and with plenty of shots to sort out. So dug this one to save time as I got so much to catch up with! Thank you to everyone who voted for My Big Ship, Little Ship a fortnight ago.

Taken , coincidently rather than planned, int he competition time frame during my trip to the US. This is the Half Dome taken from Glacier Point in Yosemite. I`d determined to do a few black and white shots after being inspired by my visit to the Ansel Adams gallery in Yosemite Valley. Unfortunately I had neither Ansel Adams` talent nor the best light given that I was there as a tourist with others forced to go out in the harsh light of day. Fantastic trip and so relieved that Tioga Pass opened just a day or two before we travelled from Death Valley to Yosemite. Quite stunning to see after the fakery of Las Vegas which I hated but others in my group loved! Bit of a rush job as I need to edit sooooo many photos from the trip and make up a book of our travels.
