Replaced my worn out Canon printer scanner with an Epson. I'll never learn, the last Epson I had was a disaster (I got rid of it after 2 weeks) and the new one just mostly refuses to print or scan anything at all. Except from the laptop, where it is more than happy to co-operate.

You will probably want to run disc utility and rebuild permissions as well.

Good idea. Next on my list. (it's a small list  ;D )
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Steinberg's payment manager. Simply doesn't work. Asks you to try again, and then disables your account if you do. Fuming.

WAMT: Having an out patient appointment postponed for the third time, now to the 2nd of July. (Should have been seen in September.)

And for the second day running, they did not ring back, after I asked for an earlier appointment.

Just bought a Panasonic LX100 for my travels with hand luggage only which should be nice for low light shots etc. Bought a few extras elsewhere including an "Expert shield" lcd protective colour. Had assumed it would be lass / resin type but no when this overpriced piece of rubbish came it was no more than the plastic cover you buy cheap elsewhere. Getting it on was even harder! Used a bathroom with water recently run for minimum dust as when I clean my sensor and applied as instructed. What a mess - bubbles and so hard to fit as it was exact size of the LCD and hard to get in place. Lifted the corner with a needle and reapplied - even worse with what I thought was visible glue spots which I tried to remove with needle point causing more damage. At this stage they dared to email me stating I was the first to buy one for the LX100 and what were my thoughts. Of course in Jinky style I let rip in an email saying it was a waste of money with poor quality and scant instructions and dubious size - suspecting it was not made for the model but cannibalised from another. They sent me helpful fully detailed notes on how to wash and reapply that made a nonsense of the packages instructions. That done it was much better but still bubbled due to , I felt , being too snug for the screen size. Lo and behold emails cross where they stated that on reconsideration they felt the need to re-format the screen protector as it was too tight a fit for the screen cover and offered me a refund or the new sized one for free when available which I accepted. So annoying that they bring out a new one without properly testing it applies properly. Always used these things from when an unseen back of safe screw scratched an LCD rear screen on an old Sony when I`d left it in there for safe keeping.

I stopped using screen protectors ages ago. I found them to be more trouble than they were worth.

Now trying to reconcile the MIDI maps between a physical and virtual MPC, and a percussion VST, that's annoying! But it's coming along nicely. Probably.

Your are lucky Paul  ;) My Fuji X-T1 arrived today. Great excitement - charged the battery - assembled 50x140 lens - popped the battery into the camera and switched on!   :o The lens quietly purrs away while the X-T1 is completely dead  :'(  Nothing! No Menu etc.  Switch off and the lens still purrs until I remove battery.

So now trying to get this sorted without delays - And I thought buying Direct would be sensible as I live miles away from a decent camera shop.

Most annoying - as I have never had problems with my other Fuji's

Problem solved - I gave insufficent blank?!! start up time before fitting the lens which apparently kept the camera sleeping even longer  ::) why do the instructions say fit lens before the charge and insert battery instructions  ::) And no hint about setup time when the camera may appear quite dead

That`s an odd one Andy. Glad you got it sorted. Have fun!

You`re right there H. If I`d not had that one scratched LCD screen I`d have left them alone thinking it`ll never happen. As for the rest of your post I`m guessing it`s music related  = good luck!  ;)

Andy - glad to hear that the new kit is up and running - looking forward to seeing the results.

Paul - I have dinked a screen before now, but I figured I would just live with it. It's not that bad ;). Yes, Paul, musicky stuff - Musical Instrument Digital Interface, Music Production Center (sic), Virtual Studio Technology. All coming along nicely. I may need to forget a few things to make space in my head for all the new information.

Cheers Howard, - lots to do before I can discover the joys in getting to know all the refinements - most annoying with so many other things going on and to do in the next few days.

I'm annoyed that there are only 24 hours in a day.
So much to do but not enough time to do it!
May the Force be with you.

LIFE, it's been one crappy week for yours truly. Started Easter Weekend, my internet kept crapping out. On Monday my air conditioner died (it's been mid 80'sF and humid all week).  Almost $5000 U.S. to replace it. Or, $6700 Cdn. with exchange. Called the phone provider, who also is my ISP on Monday to get service. Couldn't get anyone in until Wed. The tech person asked if there was anything else they could do for me. Because there are so many snowbirds living down here, they provide was they call Seasonal Service. So I said yes, I'd like to arrange to have phone and internet suspended at the end of the month, I'm going home. So, no air, no phone for 3 days. Wed. the phone repair guy comes in the morning and replaces the phone/internet combo modem. Wed afternoon the air conditioner installers show up. They talked me into installing what's known as a Humidistat along with the Thermostat. Told me to use it for when my Trailer was not being used. The idea is, you set a humidity point and a temp and the air comes on at that humidity point and cleans the air of moisture. Great idea I thought. So the installer explains how it works etc. After he leaves I notice there's no cold air anymore. I realize he's set this Humidistat to the 65% humidity level, it has an OFF setting and thinking I'm still here to control the air conditioner I turn it  Off. Now there's still no cold air, but by this time it's 9 pm and their office is closed, so after spending a lot of money I'm still out air. Next morning they send a tech out. Well, guess what, the OFF setting on the Humidistat turns EVERYTHING off. So he explains how it's supposed to work and I say, ok I don't want it running right now, and he says oh turn to 0% HUMIDITY. I ask him, why then does it have an OFF setting and I get a blank stare, followed by and "I don't honestly know".  So it's now Thursday Afternoon and everything's sorted. NO Thurs. about 9 pm my internet goes off. I think, hell, I'll just go to bed and worry in the morning. Fri. morning I call the ISP and a tech says, oh the signal is good, I'll just reset the box from here and call you back when it's done. Resetting the box, turns my phone off too. After 45 mins. No internet, no phone. I had already made plans for breakfast, so carried on and went out with my buddy. Got back phone is up but internet isn't. Phone back and get a different tech. He says, let me check the box from here. Yes signal is there he can communicate with it from his end. Then I hear "Oh wait, here's the problem" Turns out, they'd shut my internet off for the season.

My son and daughter in law were supposed to be flying into Tampa for a week's stay with me. They just got bumped off their flight.
And more, much more than this, I did it my way
