Reinardina

Thanks to the constantly changing front page, I rediscovered one of my older shots. A wide Dutch, cloud filled sky.

I just put it here, to compare it to Abers' Norfolk skies.

Well done Reinardina, not many people take pictures of clouds and sometimes thay have great shape, texture and colours.

ABERS

The result of a bit of 'photo-doodling' on an image previously posted.

I'm sure I've seen the original, but can't find it now.
It has changed into something rather scary, I think. Outer worldly loneliness and emptiness.

ABERS

Nobody seems to post much in this thread, but here goes.

Out of Season.

Reinardina

Well spotted and executed, as usual.

I wanted to post the rain shot I took this morning, but that would make me even gloomier, so I'll post a happier one here. One 'I did earlier.'  Last Saturday to be precise.

You are right, this thread isn't much used. As are many others.

The times that there were many conversations and debates going, seem to have gone forever.
Only negative things attract attention, like remarks that the site is too quiet, or fights about the interpretation of a competition theme. When words like bullying and boycotting are used.

Going a bit grungy:

I am rather keen on software that emulates some of the faster and more 'lumpy' sort of film I used to use, back in the day. This was done with Nik, but I also use Topaz and the Nostalgia plugin in Aftershot Pro, all fun to muck about with.

I've got one more thing to try before I run out of time for this week's challenge, but one of the two I've just put up is likely to be my entry for this week.

I like that. The effect compliments the image.

Totally gripped by the possibilities of digital processing again. An old Love rediscovered.
My 'Christmas Tree' card, has now evolved into a winter landscape, and it may not end there!

This is the original:

Which has now become this:

...and it works! It's great to see an image that is beyond the norm of a 'press the shutter and post'. I've been sketching and planning for a panel of images that fit the genre Altered Reality, that is now more and more a subject for inclusion in exhibition entries. I've just got to shake off a bad attack of procrastination that I seem to be suffering from at the moment. :(

Keep 'em coming R, great stuff!

Thank you Alan and Andy. I'm very pleased with the result, and hope to find more suitable images in my archives.
It's very addictive though!

Not a total transformation, as in my previous upload, but again an image I changed to make it look like something else. A 17th century 'natural' still life in this case. Including the old, discoloured varnish that hides most of the really bright colours.

As the dust is piling up, and the electrician happily at work, I edit.

Did quite a few today, and this is a reworking of an older shot. I am very pleased with the result.

All comments welcome.
