I love cool art effects in photos if used well, theyre not to some folks tastes

Reinardina

I have always enjoyed 'playing' with the software. Particularly if I do not have new shots to work on, and the weather is foul.
I can recommend it Andy.
As Karen says, it is not to everyone's taste, but it's fun to do, and you can get great results.

By the way, these three shots have already provided me with hours of fun! I got hooked on them, and will have to move away from them, or I will not do anything else.

When you look around all photo sites, exhibitions, forums, in fact anywhere where images are displayed you quickly realise that photography embraces a tremendous range of applications to display the photographic image. Whilst it's a remote chance that you will hit on something totally unique it's good fun trying.

The plugin used on the Crabbers pic is Fractilus. I noticed a Flickr group
http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=fractilus and quite liked some of the images on there.

It can be got from Redfield Plugins

Been trying to get an 'engraving' look to this London street scene.

Now I DO like that effect - it just suits the scene.

It looks really good in the small image, but if you click on it to get the large image, the brickwork, especially in the foreground, looks like a double exposure... sort of.

you mean some one hasn't created a preset or plugin for that effect?   :o
1 body, 1 lens, 1 flash gun, 1 tripod, 1 cable release & 1 filter. Keeping it simple!
(I lied, just got a second lens!)

A bit of fun photodoodling.

A picture postcard shot that I couldn't resist.
