Going to the kennels in the fog - the sun breaking through and the light getting just right - some new dogs to photograph for our website - Monty puppy playing in the agility area and having fun running through the tunnel - camera battery newly charged........and both memory card slots empty!!! :-\ :uglystupid2:

Been there, done that, fell a complete fool. Dirty looks from the missus didn't help.  :-[

Im soo tempted to send all the non believers a friend request but I only joined to spy on the kids, its handy now the oldest is at Uni but skype is better & i play Bejewelled on there occasionally to try and beat the kids.
I really dont get it, im not interested in other peoples boring daily life ive got one of my own. As for twitter - no idea never joined.

Simon

I joined for similar, son had moved away and originally it was to save on long distance phone calls. He got fed up with Facebook and quit. But by then I was using it to chat with friends in the U.S., now though I don't tend to go on because a couple of the people I 'friended'  continually post their own pet political projects and I have to wade through all these annoying posts to find what my interesting friends are doing.

I clicked the little x to stop posts from friends showing on my wall - so I just click on to the people I want to contact or send a picture to and can be oblivious to all the daily chat of the others  8) it also helps to set your security levels so that the only friend requests you get are from friends of friends and the only messages you get are from friends  - and to have the bare minimum of info showing publicly. I'm always amazed by the amount of personal stuff some have showing for all to see.

I'll have to look for that little x, not really Facebook literate.  :)

Just hover over the area to the right of the post and you should be able to delete the post and have the option to not have any more by that person.

After reading about you doing this, I did the same thing this afternoon when out walking.  Found out when I was two miles from home, much to the amusement of my other half  :(

I feel your pain, as they say.
Both the disappointment in the missed photo opportunity, and the lack of understanding of your spouse!  :( :'( :o

WAMT   Jeremy Clarkson   :knuppel2: :knuppel2: :knuppel2:  http://web.orange.co.uk/article/news/jeremy_clarkson_calls_for_strikers_to_be_shot

The way he made his point may be a little upsetting but the world has changed and if most profit making companies cant sustain final salary pensions how can the government without hitting the rest of us in the pocket. The company i work for stopped the final salary pension years ago but still has to put a substantial amount in the pot each year to keep it at the level recommended by independant actuaries. Perhaps we should have a poll, for/against the strikes.

Its not a case of whether we are for or against the strikes but the way the idiot Clarkson can say something so stupid and insensitive. For the record I am for the right to strike / protest in order for ordinary people to get their points across. After all it was not the ordinary folk who caused this financial crisis in the first place but they / we are the ones expected to pay for it  >:(

Rant over....  Sorry about that but I do feel slightly better for it.. :)

greypoint

Well, Clarkson is a prat  but I don't think he actually meant it.....literally....... ;) ::)

Once again the Daily Mash nails the absurdity.

I listened to the phone in on 5 Live this morning just because I could'nt believe there were really people who were taking this seriously. Trade union officials consulting lawyers to see if he could be prosecuted for a hate crime??!! He was trying to be funny by saying he had to balance his previous remarks on how good the strike was because you have to do that on the BBC......OK, he failed

I agree consulting lawyers over his comments is ridiculous and totally over the top but he really should think before he opens his mouth but then thats him.

Cathus

I finished night shift this morning (I love having the first day of my weekend off as a sleep day). I usually get up around 4pm oin nights but on the last day try to get up around 12.30 so I can sleep Friday night.

Managed to wake up to the alarm, but then rolled over, got up at 4.15 and thus wasted my day off. Doh!
