Wmmfgt?

Armed with a potatoe ricer, I made the perfect mashed spuds. The usual stuff was mixed in, along with a bit of Colemans mustard, and a splash of Tabasco. The spuds went down a treat with the skillet-fried beef sausages.

A domestic goddess am I! Beer tiem now! :D

I need to get one of those myself. :)

ABERS

Have done a couple of Camera Club talks this week, one in the Reading area and one in Sussex. Whilst a large proportion of the audiences comprised middle to late aged people, at both clubs there was a goodly number of eager and keen young people.

Looking at the programmes of both clubs there is ample opportunity for them to learn with regular sessions on photoshop, lighting and studio work, printing and presentation and both colour and B+W.

Wonderful stuff. Join a club

Sandy

Iam in Maidstone camera club and really enjoy the evenings. Fancy talking at Maidstone in 2013 Alan?

Thanks for the invite, 19 months hence is a long time Sandy. ;)

I've been lucky enough to experience Alans' talk and it is SUPERB (Sorry Mr Abercrombie sir think HM Elizabeth gave your knighthood to Brucie I tried me best though sir)

also we are very lucky at KCC we have a real good mix of positively Ancient (I think our president was a founding member of the club back in 1893  ;)) Middle aged (Sad to say I am beginning to have to include myself in that age group now still 17 at heart though) and just recently we've had some 20ish somethings join and it is great to see, a club lives and dies by it's membership so the younger yer can get em in the better imo....so all young un's out there go and join your local club you may just learn a thing or two...

WMMFGT got myself a LOGAN 424 mount cutter (I do believe Mr Abercrombie sir uses this as well) got it cheap from the interweb thingy from newcastle art supplies for about £40.00 of your earth pounds inc P&P and a spare pack of blades......off to pullingers in Kingston at the weekend to buy some mount board, and some el cheapo bog standard backing card to practice on and a self healing mat......then hey presto I can mount my own piccys.....now just need to either convince my dad he doesn't want his Canon Pixma Pro 9000 A3 printer and that he should let me have it  or convince Mrs F that spending £350-£400 on an A3 printer is a really good idea....neither of which will work at all......and I'd rather put that sort of money towards a new camera (really like the look of the Sony A65 & A77...may have a play at Jessops while in Kingston on Saturday or Sunday just to see how good that EVF really is....otherwise save save and buy the A580 which is almost but not quite as good...

Sorry not been around for a while.....been busy doing overtime, and seem to have lost my photographic mojo a bit at the moment....if I don't get to Kingston at the weekend I may try and get up to Richmond Park to see if can get some good deer shots (weather is supposed to be reaaaaly good this weekend) that might light the spark a bit....think it's just been a bit of a strange year, getting made redundant, mum being diagnosed with old timers disease and the mum in law having a stroke (from which she has made a miraculous recovery literally it's like it never happened i am pleased to say) but trying to get back into the swing of it.......

how chuffed am I........

As some of you know I was made redundant at the end of May, and spent two months looking for work when I finally got a job on a four month contract which started in August and finishes in December.....long story short I was approached by the team leader of the contact centre that deals with calls from brokers (it's a small team of 4 at the moment but should be 6) I've been offered a permanent position  ;D ;D  once the contract finishes if not before so got a permanent job.....15% pension scheme, subsidised gym membership...9-5 with an hour for lunch...10 minute walk from home so no travelling expenses other than shoe leather....maybe just maybe late 2011 and all of 2012 will be mine and my wifes year fingers crossed oh and definately going to Richmond Park tomorrow and will either go to pullingers in the afternoon or on Sunday to get mount board stuff.....

Just shows you how quickly things can change for you. Not so long ago you were worried about your uncertain future and now you have been offered a permanent position. Bet there are still a lot of people out there wondering if they will still have a job next week so well done.  This calls for a drink    so I'm of to the pub.  :legit:

Good news Keith, very happy for you and yours.

When are you stewarding KCC exhibition this year?
