Butterfly Head

This is the same butterfly as in Butterfly 3 - but from a slightly different angle and severely cropped to approx 1/15th full frame size.
The stripes in the eye is actually a reflection off the pattern on the wing!
It is fair to say i am some what pleased with this picture!

Thank you for your comments. This is the first time i've really appreciated a 21mp sensor- you should see it on the 24 inch screen of my Mac - that's a tad unnerving. Almost like on of those old 'B' movies...
