Patience (or lack thereof)

Typically, I wouldn't do a portrait shot straight on, but I wanted to convey the awkwardness in the photo. My father underwent a major heart operation a few years ago, and as a result of a lack of blood reaching his brain he suffers from a lack of patience and a short temper.

Also it helps he looks like Harold Shipman..

Yep - that was my first thought and i would think would be the greater cause of irritability. Lovely portrait all the same. ps - used to work with a guy who was spitting image of Yorkshire Ripper just after he was convicted...
