Blimey Sandy - that was a brave move - getting that close - even with a long lens But i love the texture of the waves as they break over the mermaid - they're what make the pic for me. Must pop back to Folkestone - an under represented place for photography. Also, did you use fill in flash? Mermaid looks slightly lit up...
