EXHIBITION
« on: September 24, 2009, 07:22:44 AM »
Not too sure if this is the right place to post this, but everyone is invited to the shindig below. Could be the basis for a CC meet-up, but reading recent posts about the N.T. you may think otherwise! Anyway if you can make it we'd love to welcome you there.

A DOUBLE TAKE ON PHOTOGRAPHY

An Exhibition of Photography from two viewpoints.

With over fifty years of experience between them, photographers Alan Abercrombie FRPS and Phil Drake FRPS are holding a joint exhibition of their work at the Garden Gallery, Osterley Park, Isleworth, Middlesex.

The exhibition comprises black and white prints illustrating the differing styles of the two photographers.

Alan Abercrombie’s images concentrate on the faces of people displaying a whole range of emotions whether celebrating, protesting or just contemplating.

Phil Drake’s work illustrates patterns, geometric shapes and graphic images concentrating on ordinary subjects that can be found in the streets.

Both photographers have received acceptances in local, national and international exhibitions.

Free to visit The Garden Gallery is an intimate venue situated next to the National Trust property Osterley House,

Opening times for viewing are

Wed. 21st Oct 2009 until Sun. 25th October
1 p.m. until 4.30 p.m.

Wed. 28th October 2009 – Sat. 31st October.
1 p.m. until 4.30 p.m.

Details of the location and how to get there can be found by logging on to

Oh, I got all excited then cos I misread the dates.  I have to be in Richmond next Friday (baby to shoot) and thought it was on then.  I would have loved to pop in :(.

Next time.

Hope it goes well.

Thanks Jonathon. Come up in October, the deer cull takes place then, perhaps we could find you a deer to shoot. ;)

Yeah I used to live in Twickers so Richmond Park was just a cycle ride away.  IIRC the deer used to average about 2 joggers a year.

If you go can you take some pictures so the rest of us can get a flavour of the event? Or will photography be banned ;)

Eileen and all CC photographers have a special dispensation. I've cleared that with the N.T.

can't make the 24/25 but can the following weekend on 31st.
Was gonna propose a "meet" like the last time Alan was involved in an exhibition.

I should be able to do the 31st. The last combined exhibition/meet-up was great fun and it would be nice to do that again.

OK, meet now proposed on the CC Meets section for the 31st October - the last day (when you normally get the good discounted  ;D ;D ;D)

Apologies to Sandy as i know she can't make this date, but sadly i could not make the previous date  - i did try but all leave days for that date are taken!
I for one am looking forward to visiting this exhibition - having visited a previous one near Butlers Wharf.
