I just dowlnoad everthing I want and put on disc and watch it via my dvd which is dvix compatable

No - there are actually too many drawbacks.  The main one for me being that it can't run an iPhoto slideshow - only a slideshow of pics in iPhoto.  That means I have no control over transitions and duration    They also work better in the US where choice at the iTunes store where range of programs is (a) larger and (b) cheaper.

Tis a bit of a problem with Apple and it's reliance on iTunes - the licensing agreements are all US based so the rest of the world can go hang it seems.

Been looking at the new mp4 players, iPod nano - £99, Sony £79 - sony has a bigger screen and supports more formats than the iPod. And to heck with it, I'm not trendy and I don't care who knows it!
