I've got my new HDD. A nice Western Digital Caviar Blue 640GB thing, and it's not IDE. So, that's that 'future-proof'... sort of.

Shame my motherboard is IDE only.
Shame the newly-purchased PCI SATA controller card won't function correctly without drivers.

*sigh*

Edit pt2: ... and I think my poorly HDD (which was the cause of me having to purchase a SATA cave) has just given me a "two fingered salute".

Given that I went to Focus to see my other shot in the snow on the Nikon stand that won me £100 and this one won me an Olympus PEN E-P2 which seems ludicrously overpriced they were two profitable pictures taken within 20 minutes of each other on a sledging outing. I do love snow
If only it had been a D700 as the prize - now anyone want to buy the latest Olympus gadget as shot with by David bailey at a bit of a discount to fund my D700 once it comes? I think if I put another camera in my photography cupboard our wardrobe I`ll get shot

Do you know I`ve got more pleasure out of a couple of wins in comps like this recently than I did out of the last 7 years of slogging my guts out for the council.
Don`t know if it was a tongue in cheek expression of interest Jonathan but when I get it I`ll check what it is and let you know through here. I`m sure I`ll beat the cheapest UK internet prices by a bit if not HK
