My favourite little joke when seeing couples looking to book me for weddings is to say in the chit chat bit  that I hope that the groom has been fully involved in the planning and ask him what flowers he has chosen for the day. Amazing how every bride is just accepting of how little men do towards their wedding. I like to think I was more involved in ours - though it was a very small affair.

I went everywhere my wife lead me. Managed to get the nose ring removed shortly after the ceremony.

My future husband lived in England, I lived in Holland. We got married in the Netherlands, and I arranged everything for that, apart from the necessary British paperwork The 'no impediment to marriage to an alien' was one of them! (I know exactly who/what I am!)

He did the house hunting, and found our beautiful penthouse.

Worked out very well. Both were a great success.

It is because in many cases they do not want the groom to interfere in a wedding they have been planning for years.

The Poppy From The Tower arrived today. My daughter purchased it for my birthday and it has arrived intact and in good order.

There is a spot specifically reserved for it in a corner of the garden which is lit up by the setting sun in the Autumn.

Wow, if in the right place, with the low winter sun, it will look stunning. Worth a lot more than they were purchased for. Take care of it Abers.

Got ours too but moved it indoors for winter to protect from frost as per warning. We`ve got it in memory of my wife`s mum who died earlier this year after a short fight against pancreatic cancer. In a special pot to be supplemented with growing poppies. So pleased it came in one piece when I saw Yodel were delivering them!
