OM-10 no; but my 35mm film camera of choice went from OM-1 to OM-4 via the OM-2. SO I am familar with OM screens, and I can say I've never seen anything like this. It looks as though there's some sort of grid - is this what you see through the viewfinder, or is it an artefact of the photograph?

Possibly https://archive.org/details/TheOlympusOmWay might be of help.

I've just checked my gut feeling, and the focussing screen on the OM-10 isn't user interchangeable; apparently it can be done, but it requires prising out glued parts etc. and you'd be better off with a single digit OM if you want to change screens. A pity, as I was half wondering if someone had swapped the screen and put it in with the wrong side up, but this doesn't seem to be an option.

Thank you Stephen. You are pretty close there.
I have notced that the glued parts you refer to are missing. The "bubble effect" screen looks to have been forced into place and wedged behind 2 screws. It also like it has been roughly cut.
It is now removed and I found what looks like the original screen at the bottom of the box I was given. Unfortunately this screen is badly sctratched.
I will concentrate on the OM 1 for now and put a roll through that. The 10 can be a repair project for winter (if financially viable ).
Thanks again for help.
Will try and get some shots up later.
