Some interesting old/new locations in and around London cleverly juxtapositioned in a single image.

The first Covent Garden picture reminds me of an old acquaintance from many years ago (long since departed) who used to take his horse and cart up to the Brentford market twice a week for fruit and vegetables for his stall in Kingston. After buying his stock he would take advantage of the pubs that opened early for the traders and get somewhat Brahms and Liszt.

His old horse well used to the route from Brentford to Kingston knew his way home whilst the driver caught up on his sleep, having been up since the early hours!

At a police controlled crossing in Richmond, the horse, not understanding police hand signals, just carried straight on.

The driver used to boast that he was the only one he knew that was charged and convicted of being drunk in charge of a horse and cart! :2funny:

Now ain't that clever! I'm going to have to dig out my old Derby pics and have a go.

Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Very impressive - that must have taken a lot of hard work...
