A little bit of down time
« on: September 13, 2013, 09:20:58 AM »
As some of you will know I have another hobby besides photography - music.

Until now I have mucked about with freeware and cut down free versions of various bits of software, but I have just ordered Cubase Elements (a virtual music studio for computers, a bit like Photoshop Elements as opposed to the real super expensive thing, but much closer to the full professional software than Photoshop Elements). I have dug out my mixer and just about to get my studio monitors, midi keyboards, drum machine and various other paraphernalia out of storage.

The learning curve with Cubase is steep; it's incredibly complex and powerful software. Consequently I expect that for the next month or so I shall be mostly occupied with learning how to use it, and therefore have less time to spend here.

Think of it as having a holiday from me

But you will need some downtime to reflect and absorb all that Cubase offers, so I imagine you will not stay away too long Howard   ;) :D
