Not much chat and no entries so far. Is everyone asleep?

I've hit the town again, in the hope to find an entry and came home with this one (among quite a few others). It's the ceiling light in the atrium of a local shopping centre, and not a monsoon shower!

I'm still looking up - although I might just go with the lion shot  :-\  (although I have a back up just in case it is selected for IOTW  ;))

Busy weekend trying to strip and rebuild parts in the car  :o

I always like the bits in the workshop manual where it says "with the engine on the bench" and "using special tool . ."

Actually, I don't like those bits at all. Good luck with the grease momkeying Andy.

Me, I'm still looking up too - hopefully ;)

Bit more than greasing I fear  :'( as I think a few hours under the bonnet may be way well over due even though the car was purchased through a dealer and looked as though it had a good service record.

Try not to drop any of the small bits.

We've got to get a new car soon. Our family workhorse has been with us for more than 11 years and has now done 170k miles. The turbo is failing and the air conditioning packed up more than a year ago. But we are reluctant to let it go because it still does close to 60mpg. And it's red ;)

Hoping for some looking up opportunities today.

Phew - did it! Adrenalin is a more effective painkiller than a pocketful of anti-biotics and extra strength anadins I had in my pocket all day!

Will see if I can get a looking up shot tomorrow as I have nothing from todays shoot.

In between hitting the Mercedes with a J Clarkson No: 1 all purpose impact tool I managed to find a bit of time to edit a shot from yesterday's shopping expedition: it's the canopy of the filling station.

Just my luck! Lady hunkered right down nursing her egg. Her mate coming and going to the nest all the time, except during the two hours I waited!

Probably my best picture ever:-

Just as I arrived a red squirrel scampered down off a feeding table. I knew he'd come back so set the camera on the tripod, pre-focused, remote release in hand, and waited....
He came back, sat on the branch below the feeder and posed for me. Full face on, both eyes, ears pointed, tail beautifully curled up behind him. Wonderful red coat catching the sunlight. And I'll swear he was laughing at me because he knew he wasn't in shot. He was away as soon as I moved to the camera.

So his portrait is indelibly etched in my brain. I wish I could share it.
