Can anyone please throw some light onto the make/model of this tripod and head........at least I think it's a tripod?  A slightly better image can be found on the blog here http://scottkelby.com/2012/its-guest-blog-wednesday-featuring-jefferson-graham/  ..... you'll need to scroll down a bit.

The head looks like ones I have seen on some Velbon tripods.

OK everyone - forget that, with help from another source it's now been identified. Thanks to those who posted suggestions.  http://skwizphoto.wordpress.com/2011/06/10/gear-review-targus-tg-6660tr-tripod/

I don't think it's a tripod but a monopod.
