Sad time
« on: October 13, 2011, 09:34:25 PM »

On monday I lost my beautiful Pointer Alice - a big part of my life and photographic subject for the past ten years.  I knew she was unwell but she went downhill rapidly over the weekend and a scan showed a massive tumour on her liver. A new puppy may be arriving soon to try and ease the pain - but only those who have had a similar loss can appreciate the empty feeling something like this brings.

I know how you feel, and it never gets any easier.

Sorry to hear the news - I suppose there's some consolation that she went relatively quickly. We've lost two this past year - dogs we didn't own but did look after, so do appreciate your situation. I look forward to the new little monster's pics!
Whatever and ever. Amen

I remember you posting pictures of Alice and how proud of her you were. She was a well loved dog and a full member of your family. it's always sad to hear of a lose like that.  :'(

I happy that you are getting a new puppy to help fill the empty space in your heart. It will never replace Alice, but I'm sure Alice will be happy, as she was during her life with you, that you will move on and love the new puppy just as much.

Condolences Sue, having been a dog owner all my life I've experienced this loss several times, as Reinardina says, it never gets easier.
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Can't really add much Sue. I know you have some beautiful photographs of her, and memories as well I'm sure.

So sorry Sue.

I know how you feel. My cat, Psyd, died in 2003, and I still miss him.

Oh Sue, I am so sorry to hear that. My condolences. I lost my Westie "Snowy" 18 months ago and know how distraught you must be.
Get your new puppie soon!
