Pentax DA* 16-50mm

I just bought one of these very posh lenses secondhand for £400 from LCE in Derby. Included a UV filter too so pretty good deal. I was bidding on one on ebay but stopped at £399 cos I knew of this one going, it eventually went for £441. Mind you Digital Depot are selling them for £456 although they normally go for around £550.

Definitely the sort of lens that you buy cameras for, rather than the other way round.

I love my DA* 50-135. I looked at the DA* 16-50 but decided to go with the Sigma f2.8 18-50 to save some money. It's a nice lens as well and I also picked up a Pentax f1.4 50mm prime and still spent a bit less than the DA* 16-50.
