I think I would've done the same thing as Graham, i.e. complied with Mr Plod and deleted the images, knowing full well that I would remove the card from the camera and keep it safe for recovery later. Sneaky I know but hey who wants more hassle than it's worth?

Even so it's just another poor bobby, under pressure and not being clear of the proper procedures.

              Suprised to see this one resurface!
              Spin. Yes I did get a letter confirming the matter settled, and that further training was being given
              I'm happy with the response and the outcome. In addition to the written corrispondence, I had several 'phone calls from the officer dealing with the matter, where he was able to be a little more relaxed with his comments   
             I feel that, though the incident was dealt with by fairley senior officers trained in such matters, they were still just coppers trying to do their job to the best of their abilities. At no time did I feel that I was being dealt with by a "Media" department.

So the moral of this story is to go out and buy £3k+ worth of camera body if you want to "appease the fuzz" and keep the shots...
