Lunar Lunacy

Hewwo from colder and colder Sheffy,
Now then,not a comp or anything(hope no one objects),with the nightts now getting clearer i was thinking about getting some moon shots done,,just for fun,and the lunar thingy is currently building up,
so,,you lot mind posting some moonshots over the next couple of weeks ??
Ive been REALLY struggling with star trails shots and the Moon will be a poor substitue,,,,lets see your best efforts !!

It's best to photograph the moon around dusk after it has risen, as it appears bigger, and there is enough light in the sky to counteract it's brightness. 

To illustrate my point I shot the Moon at dusk, just after the sun went down, using the Bigma and resting the camera on a concret structer.

Great idea, wanted to play around with some night shots with my remote shutter and forecast for here is clear tomorrow night!

I never thought to look before, but I'm pleasantly surprised to discover my Weather source has a sun and moon rise calculator specific to serveral towns and cities. Moon's going to rise at my locale at 17:25 hrs.

As well as showing the Sunrise/Set it shows the Lunar Cycles as well, and is pretty much spot on, and yes it is compatible with a MAC (you can even get it as an APP for your I Phone if you have such a thing)
