This weeks subject is to be   " e.bay item "

Use your skills and imagination to shoot something that the picture alone will sell the item

Pictures to be taken between 00.01am Monday Monday 7th June to Sunday 13th June
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23.59pm Monday 14th June.
Poll will be up Tuesday 15th June until 23.59pm Friday 18th June
Winner to be announced Saturday 19th June (winner should post the new topic no later than 23.59 Sunday 20th June).

The Rules for the weekly competition are...

By entering you agree to take responsibility to
post a topic on the Sunday following your declared win
create an entries thread
create a chat thread
create a poll for that weeks comp and declare the winner on the Saturday
(if for any reason there is a problem and no subject is posted by the winner by Monday night admin will advise second place winner to post the topic asap, do the poll etc)

In case of a tie, the first entry posted wins.

photos to be taken during the specified dates, ie sunday xx to Monday xx

pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23.59 Monday night

Poll to be created Tuesday to run till Friday, winner declared Saturday

Editing limits to be specified by the person choosing the competition subject, if nothing is mentioned then there is no limit to editing allowed.

Montage images should only contain images taken within specified dates

Well it gets harder and harder to think of a theme for the comp so I came up with this idea after looking on e.bay. There are some terrible pictures on there even in the photography section.
So that's why I came up with this idea. I have allways thought that first impressions / presentation are the key to selling anything....

Forgot to add that I looked on e.bay for " portable studio backgrounds " and one I viewed looked like it had been put through a mangle but, as was described by the owner  " had only been used once and the creases should come out with ironing ".........

So do you want us to do a really good ad agency standard marketing shot, or take the p*ss? I'm easy. Obviously option #2 would be easier. Or maybe not, now I come to think of it.

I know what you mean Howard with your second suggestion... ... but lets try and impress, like I said and I quote myself  " the picture alone will sell the item " .  I know Jim has one of those mini studio things and bones should be able to put his ring flash to use and even Alan a keen e.bayer has said he will have a go. This might even be one to tempt Jonathan to participate..
I have not a clue what to do yet !... thinking of a theme was hard enough.... ....
