If you like car photography (and Tim Wallace)
« on: February 22, 2010, 08:18:58 AM »
Got an email the other day about a 2 day course Calumet are running.

2 days playing with Land Rovers under the watchful eye of Mr Tim Wallace (I expect he'll give some tips too :) ).

Oh and you can leave your Canon/Nikon rivalry at home.  Cos the event is running with proper cameras.  Yeah - you get to play with an H4D.....

Probably already fully booked just for the chance to play with a 'Blad let alone enjoy some time with Tim, but thanks for posting.

Not a chance in hell i would sign up in case i liked the HD4 too much - i can't think of a single argument that allow me to justify getting one even if i could afford it!

I booked in for the Morgan/Malvern session last Thursday. There are probably still places available.

It does say on the Ambient life site that you should bring your own camera along.

And I don't think I'll have issues with the HD4, I can't afford/justify it. Although at the course last year at F. Doorhof's studio we played with his Leaf, which was very nice. He did also say that a medium format camera is not out of the budget for a serious amateur, as the 2nd hand market is quite competitive (all the pros continually upgrading).
