Cheers Chris.  Food for thought.

Hey OB, do me a favour and buy a 135 DC.  Then tell me if it's any good ;)

Spent enough this month already!  :-[

I have the 18-200 ("tourist") lens and think it's awesome.  The VR is incredible - I can take handheld shots (carefully) with shutter speeds as low as 1/8 sec.

I also have the 50mm f1.8 and like it but have had problems with blurriness.  I think it is a combination of camera shake (after having become accustomed to VR) and the need for very precise focusing at wide open apertures like 1.8, 2.2 etc.  Still trying to get used to it to be honest.  I prefer it around my neck than the 18-200 as it is very compact on the camera.
