I've already done my Christmas shot!

Will have to brave the city centre again, but I had hoped to leave the camera at home. Now you force me into action again!

10:30 am on Sunday it was pouring rain. By 11:30 this was the view from my upstairs window.

It might be a reminder that Christmas isn't too far away, if I don't find a more attractive shot before this competition closes.

Wow, that's proper snow!

And where I am counting on having a white Christmas (Zell am See, Austria) it was raining today. All the snow that was there, washed away.

I'm a contrarian, I have nothing against Christmas, ( I believe in you Santa I really do) but here in Florida they started the Christmas themes on Thanksgiving and the more ads I see the less I feel the spirit.  :(
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

The first tentative Christmas things appear in the shops here, in September.

It builds up from then, but from fairly early in November, there is no getting away from it.

It is possibly because there is no big distraction between summer and Christmas. You have Thanksgiving to keep Christmas at bay, in Holland it is 'Sinterklaas' on the 5th of December, that keeps Christmas out of the shops, till that is 'out of the way.'

I'm skipping Christmas and looking for Easter Eggs, sure I will find a shop that has them already.

I think I'll have to skip this one, as it is getting too close to my holiday, and I won't have time to do the honours, if I were to win.

Getting in a bit of a state, as everything seems to come at once (well, that has been the case for the last 18 months, but I still haven't got used to it, and I still panic).

I was amazed how little reference there was to Christmas in Krakow. They had a nice Christmas market with reasonably priced , quality goods and a few Christmas lights up by the end of our week with 3 big Christmas trees around the streets but none of the tat, constant Christmas songs etc going on. Mind you on St Nicolas` day the square was invade by 100+ bikers and their kids all dressed up as santa who came for  an anti- aggression / anti-racist rally. My favourite poster said "Down with that sort of thing"! :)

It is still more of a religious festival in those countries, I think.
