I have LR 4.4 and only bought that in Jan this year. I can not see any  benefit to me in shelling out another shed load of cash  especially after this years cock up with my details being stolen from their site. In fact they should have offered all users this new version for free

Hi I have got light room 5 now, I have never used light room before so struggling  a little
with it when you have finished the editing of a pick how do you save it am I missing something
in elements and my  other PS'S you just click on a green tick that is not there in light room any
help,  I must be missing something.

Go file>export and then set up your save from there.
Oh, and also look under the help option. There will be a help file and tutorial link

If you are not exporting it is already saved.  You do not need to export in order to save.  Lightroom saves every adjustment because it is not actually changing your photo.  Lightroom applies the changes you made to what you see.  When you export you are making a copy with those changes applied but your original is still the same.
