CHAT HERE PLEASE

(Entries thread is HERE)

This week's topic for the competition is...

DOUBLE TAKE

To quote from last week's challenge "be as imaginative as you can"

For your entry you have two choices:

1) either create a double exposure in camera (if you are lucky enough to have a camera that will do that), or create one from two images in post processing*, or

2) take a photograph that leads the viewer to 'double take', look more closely for a second time to work out what is depicted.

Absolutely no restrictions on Post Processing

*just google 'photoshop double exposure' or similar for how to achieve this with your photo editor. Most of the advice will be for the full fat £600+ version of photoshop, but you can transfer the techniques to virtually any editor.

Pictures to be taken between 00.01am Monday 22nd April 2013 to 23:59 Sunday 28th April 2013.
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23.59pm Monday 29th April 2013.
Poll will be up Tuesday 30th April 2013.
Winner to be announced Saturday 4th May 2013.

The Rules for the weekly competition are...

By entering you agree to take responsibility to
Post a topic on the Sunday following your declared win
Create an entries thread
Create a chat thread
Create a poll for that weeks comp and declare the winner on the Saturday
(if for any reason there is a problem and no subject is posted by the winner by Monday night admin will advise second place winner to post the topic asap, do the poll etc.)

In case of a tie, the first entry posted wins.

Photos to be taken during the specified dates, ie Monday xx to Sunday xx

Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23.59 Monday night.

An excellent theme, my favourite for a while. Well done. I will try this one for sure.

I've been struggling with this one, loads of attempts, but nothing that was really 'it.'
As I'm not sure I'll have time to come back to it, I'm in with the one I liked most.

Ghostly Goings on.

Just the right kind of thing Re

Here's one I did a lot earlier:

Thanks H. Hope the voters will like it too!
(Have to practise setting the poll a few more times, otherwise I'll lose my newly acquired skills!)

I'm off on my jolidays for a few weeks from this weekend. Been a busy week preparing, so I might not get an entry in this week.

That's a poor excuse!  ::)

I'll have to go with this one. It is two exposures and I suppose you could conceivably, at a big stretch, double take the juxtaposition of Mrs H and the trees.

OK, that's me done for a couple of weeks. I may have internet access on the move, or may not. In the meantime have fun y'all.

Hard to decide what or how to do this weeks assignment and ended playing around with an Echo Bounce

I asked a neighbour and her pets to pose for me as a back-up for this competition, then found I couldn't manage anything to meet the requirement more strickly so had to go with that.

I was really looking forward to the comp but when it came to getting an entry shot I just ran out of time, I really must try harder in the week as the weekends just seem to go by so quickly, right going to start looking for Great British design right now...........................

At least the days are getting longer, which might help.

Glad I've done my British design; can now get on with other things.

I said I'd set the poll, if no-one else had, when I got home.  However, I have added the poll to the entry thread and as H started that thread, I can't change the title - could one of the Admins change it please?  Thanks!

I found it, but maybe you could 'shout' it; it's bound to attract more attention there.
