[Beaux Reflets]

I have to say, that I am a little bemused this shot has not generated more responses. Perhaps it is just me, but I think it is one of the best shots and processing I have ever seen.

Since you ask, for me, I find it an excellent comp but I'm irritated by the processing - a tender and poignant moment with a somewhat brash treatment, which I'm guessing is meant to be gritty (but that's just my take on it - processing is a very personal thing, I acknowledge!). Be good to see it with a more sympathetic feel

It does look a little overdone to me too, but Alan is an excellent photographer and I wonder if that 'look' is a result of reducing it in size and the site display algorithm.

As the image is in Abers' TRY OUTS album, I imagine the processing is of a purpose 

Perhaps its just me and my Artist background, but I find the image incredibly emotive as well as a documentry piece; Photographic Poetry for want of an expression and "writing with light" is what photography means.

I wasn't suggesting he wasn't a good photographer - I do get tired of the "well, it looks better full sized" argument. Size reduction can affect quality, having some bearing on sharpness/detail, but doesn't radically alter an image - and anyway you can view the image as uploaded (which looks like a larger version of the resized!)
