Aww, sorry Reinardina.....I do like your shot too. I didn't mention anything because I myself am guilty of that particular thing of standing in front of a window like that and looking the other way.....partly because my Wife is in the shop....haha! ;D

I am intrigued though, how did you test to see if the window frames were metal?.... ;)

Thank you Matthew.
I must have looked even more strange than the waiting men, as I first felt the window frame and then tapped it!  Definitely metal!

Thanks you DigiDiva :)
Reinardina, i never noticed that before but there are always men hanging around lingerie shops but feigning lack of interest, strange peoples. :)
I have come, to play.

I see it regularly, but I'm being taken through my paces (if that's the right expression) by a photographer, who is a master in (street) candids. I'm beginning to 'see' more now. Problem is, I'm partially sighted, so I only see things when I'm on top of them and too close to take a picture. I have to stop, turn around and fire.
Or walk back 'innocently' and see what I can do.
I'm scared to death they spot me (as I cannot see if their eyes are looking at me), so it is often a hurried job with dire results.

Liking the shot of the SS Sir Walter Scott, SimonW......I do like a boat shot. Your entry is fine Loveclose, some nice out the box thinking there.

Cheers!  Was more concerned that it was posted correctly.  Nice lot of pics submitted for this weekly comp! :)

Not been around due to internet issues but thought one of my weekend wedding shots just about fits the brief with the metal bandstand and opaque roof.

Hi George. Sometimes I show people the picture I took of them, and I haven't met anyone who objected yet. Sometimes I don't, like in the case of the men outside the Ann Summers shop.
I don't think people are too aware of me and my camera, but, as I said, I often don't know if they are looking at me or not.
I don't like it, when they start to 'pose,'  in which case I don't take their picture. Unless of course they are really 'over the top,' and pulling faces, that I simply cannot resist!
I often come across people taking pictures of each other, and they sometimes ask, and I often offer, to take a picture of them all together. That will be a posed shot, but it can be fun, just to meet and chat to strangers. They won't be candids, but still different; shots you would otherwise not take.

And yes, I love my photography, but there are very obvious disadvantages to being nearly blind. I have to take many many shots, because I can see the 'general' picture on my lcd screen, but I can't really see the details, till I have them in front of me on my laptop screen! I often find I have 'lucky' things included in my pictures, that I didn't know were there, but also miss out things of course.
