This excellent sculpture exhibition is back - we always try and go at least once as the sculptures are wonderful and the setting is superb. You can even buy them if you've a spare few £10/100k!  ::)

ABERS

Thanks for the steer. Chatsworth is a little too much of a stretch for a day out, but it looks well worth a visit.
One thing that photography has lead me to is an appreciation of other art forms, sculpture particularly so.
On a visit to Tate Britain a couple of weeks ago, a bust of Josef Stalin caught my eye. Not much more than life size the sculptor, Peter Peri, made Stalin's brooding evil reputation so strong that you felt he was watching you all the time, which of course he and his KGB cronies were doing during his reign.

Went to this a couple of years back and was a greta day out. Will try and get there as the trees trun maybe. Thanks for the heads up

A bit of a 'taster' on the BBC website

Nice one!

It'll be a week or so before we're going to be able to get there - but more time for the trees to develop their autumn colours!  ;)
Whatever and ever. Amen
