Firefox Updates

Firefox have released an update (3.5.7) to replace 3.5.6.
I have been using 3.5.6 and have had a number of crashes from which it recovers well enough but I see too many Sorry messages.

They have also released a Beta of the next major update (3.6 Beta5) which I am now running on. No crashes so far - no error messages - no sorry notices so I would be happy with it as is- if they can improve it further before final release so much the better but it's pretty good already. Anyway if you've been getting crashes on 3.5.6 you may prefer to upgrade to the beta version of 3.6

Strangely enough I have been resisting the urge to accept the 3.5.6 update and am still using 3.5.5, think I'll stick with this till the 3.6 arrives then, thanks for posting ;)

that would certainly explain a few things.
Had the crashing but no apologies or anything.
I've just had to close and re-open to resolve the problem.

I use Firefox as standard on my elderly AMD processor Windows XP machine, and always update to the latest version, though never a Beta. And I don't remember it ever giving me a problem - certainly never crashed either the browser or the PC. Maybe I've been lucky, but I'd recommend it over IE anytime.

I'm in agreement - would never go back to IE.
And the 'crashing' has only been a few times with the previous release - i'm now on 3.5.7.
Even then it was considerably better than any service i got out of IE!

I am still on 3.5.6 and must be lucky as I have never had any crashes of FF.

My 3.6 Beta5 has just been update to the Release Candidate so the final release of 3.6 is getting pretty close.

Has anbody dared to try the Beta or the release candidate....
