I've had that lens for about eight years now, but don't use often, as it needs good sunlight to get the best out of it.

It only cost me £749 at that time!

I felt great last night when a friend and I did some night photography in Blackburn town centre, a live band playing in the pub as we were setting up and shooting to their music LOL, took a few shots, to get my exposure and composition focus etc right, then as I was taking a shot of the Braid sculpture,I heard and saw a bus and a car behind it coming up the road, they where the only 2 vehicles to pass whilst we were there, so I got ready as it started to pass me fired the cable release and watched the bus and car go up the road, round the bend then closed the shutter, lucky or what he he, when the preview came on the LCD, I let out such a  LOUD YAHOOOOOO, as I knew I got the shot of the night #1, for me anyways, when I turn around there where loads of people smoking out side the pub looking at me strangely Ha Ha, so here it is, and a couple of others, #3 is 5 shots looking up the centre of the Braid is 5 shots and layers masks one for each colour









Bit Of info about the Braid

The UK's Sudell Cross and Northgate area is a major transport route and an important pedestrian gateway, linking Corporation Park, the College and Strawberry Bank areas to Blackburn town center. It was identified as a priority area for improvement and is part of a £1.1 million revamp organized by Blackburn Borough Council.

'The Braid,' a modern light feature soaring 32 feet into the air, forms the centrepiece of the Sudell Cross and was unveiled in April of 2007. The feature was designed by renowned UK artist Simon Watkinson and built by the specialist bespoke metal fabrication and stainless steel architecture company, M-TEC of Darwen, part of the WEC Group Ltd.

This bold feature is now lit throughout the day and night in a changing array of colors. The sculpture is a magnificent sight and is set to put the Sudell Cross area firmly on the map .
