Nice shots Irv and well done Abers. Great consistency - you one of the judges  ;)

WMMFGT - A proposal I put forward for a photography competition / exhibition was taken up a few weeks ago. It`s no great deal - a church in the city centre being funded by a multi-million pound new shoppin g development next door to set up yet another arts centre for Leeds. They set their theme as "Your Retail Soulmate" and I expect they want shots of all the big traders moving into this flagship centre under their strapline. I decided to go the other way and do a proposal showing the little people that make up the shopping experience - Big Issue sellers, small traders buskers etc. Selected and not had the inclination to do it until today. Might not be my final shots / edits but pleased with the cop-operation and shots I got today in a frency of B&W shooting that would have bettered my last weeks entry.

Not too clean but trying to show movement in bright sunshine using my adjustable ND fikter as Les Prentice sings to the crowds (pretty badly I have to say ;-) )

Found this great family group , Universal Dread with dancing son who are touring France free festivals next month.

Newspaper seller Chris been on this patch 13 years.

Granelli`s ice cream is a permanent feature rain or shine, winter or summer.

And still time to find John Prescott in his new role as a Police Horse rider on patrol - he gave me a slap though  ;)

ABERS

The Tory fundraiser getting caught bang to rights. What a sleazy world we live in, but we knew that already. >:(

Just one thought crosses my mind, isn't the Sunday Times owned by Murdoch and his clan? I wonder if this would have seen the light of day if the Tories hadn't distanced themselves from the corporation recently, a bit of quid pro quo perhaps? Or am I just being cynical. :legit:

   Your being cynical....and rightly so!

     It's 7 o'clock and it's still light!

PS I don't expect a reply as I know you're all outside mowing your lawns! :2funny:

They could be outside taking shots for the weekly competition like this.  :P

Just taken delivery of a Fuji S5 pro with a shutter count of 800
My D200 is now on its last legs so this one will fit in very nicely with my present lens and kit collection as its really a D200 body but with superior internals ;D

I'm surprised about your D200, as mine is still going strong and has better weather sealing than the D3.  ???

Enjoy the Fuji S5 as it's a cracking camera.

The 200 keeps giving me the Err message and locks up  the shutter. Happened last week on a trip to Loch Lomond then again this week whilst out on the river. Its only fired 38k of shots as well.
Ive upgraded the firmware and given everything a clean down and as yet it ain't misfired since, but its just a matter of time IMO.
I actually made a post here about it in October and it behaved its self after that

Markulous

WMMFGT?

Went to fill up with petrol (no, not topping up, the tank was nearly empty!) and was 4th in the queue at Sainsbury's. When I finished my shopping and drove out, they were taping the entrance as they'd run out!
Whatever and ever. Amen

They come in three's

1. After a month of hard work I have finally finished fitting the new kitchen.
2. Picked up eldest from uni for easter break
3. Picked up a new 7d from WEX on the way back from Nottingham, my reward for doing the kitchen.
