Thanks but you`ve lost me there. I had downloaded malwarebytes but had problems booting up this morning. Restarted twice and then deleted malwarebytes and everything is back to normal again. Having a bit of a time getting this fairly harmless adware sorted

Going back to cars, they do seem to be getting bigger these days. Until I bent it earlier in the year, I used to drive a Peugeot 205 - 2 doors, 4 seats everything I need in a car. At one stage I was sitting behind a 'mini' in a queue and I realised that car was bigger than mine ...

Turn off the pc then back on.
whilst its booting up continually tap the F5 key.
When prompted select
boot up in safe mode with network command.
when up and running you should see in each corner of the screen safe mode and only a few desktop icons.
Now run malwarebytes full scan.
When finished restart the pc again as normal

Myself I guess, had our first snow storm of the year. Couldn't get my snowblower to start for a while, when it eventually did start wouldn't idle smoothly. Been putting off doing any tuning or testing since Oct. when I usually test it out. Made the job longer than needed, but only myself to blame. :-[
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

If you had Brussels sprouts with your Christmas dinner, why do you need a snowblower?  :-[ :2funny: :2funny:

Snowblower needed a tuning since last winter was so lame.   For Toronto this was the first time we have had 10cm of snow at once since March 2011!
I shovelled and my arms were tired last night.  My driveway is not that big but I have a sidewalk as well to clean.

Ahh the not so mini "Mini"...they should tag that onto the name badge. I have an estate and parked up next to one the other week..The "Mini" front end was higher than mine....Surely they can't sell it branded as a mini, since it clearly isn't and is so far detached from it's ancestor......

Never argue with a stupid person, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

WAMT?
Not just today but the last 3 days.
I knew I would end up in this thread after my post in WMMFGT thread.

Since the purchase of my new Win 8 laptop I have had lots of issues with my wireless network.
Each morning I fire the machine up and after 15 mins I loose all connections to the net on all 3 machines ( xp, win 7 win 8 ) which connect via wireless.
I have to reboot the router or power it down at least once.
I have also had to change the channel within the router settings  a couple of times in order to reestablish an internet connection.
The 2 desktop pc's upstairs are fine but they are connected via ethernet and usb.
I also have Cisco Network Magic installed on all machines but there are no hints etc to explain why I am getting this issue each day.
I'm guessing there is a conflict somewhere with Win 8 but annoying not getting clues as where to look. ::)
Never had this issue prior to getting the Win 8 machine

Network Magic does not support windows higher than Vista, although like you we have it running on our home network, but it is not installed on the W7 machine - when we tried that all hell broke loose . .

Its running on the wifes Win 7 netbook and also on this Win8 machine.
Ive just copied some large folders from the XP laptop to this one via share option within Network magic without any issues at all.

Maybe it shouldn't be? Have you tried disabling it on the new machine to see whether the router problems persist?

What version are you using H ?
Within the FAQ at Cisco it states "The current version of Network Magic (5.5.9195.0) is compatible with Windows 7."

Ah, now you come to mention it I remember now that I couldn't get that to install on my W7 lappie, so I gave up. It got stuck in one of those 'you have to do x before you can do y, followed by you can't do y until you have done x' loops.

TBH, the built in W7 networking seems to be just fine without it, hence my forgetfulness - well that, alcohol abuse and old age anyway.

Hope you manage to fix it soon ;)

Wouldn't call it annoying, but the green used for the moderators names is difficult to see. For me anyway, with my nearly blind eyes.
Is it possible to add some  contrast? Dark(er) green would be easier.
