alex ferguson not commenting on the performance of newcastle united last night all he said was his team didnt play well he missed the vital point our team didnt let his team play well

The lads were superb and deserved at least the 3-0. The day Ferguson admits they are outplayed  I will go watch Man U. Mid you he is a slightly better loser than Wenger. Dwight Yorke did not even see the blatant penalty as valid! I`d just love to pass Liverpool and Andy C next. It will be like beating Newcastle old boys.

Well have you ever been told you caused something to break when it was not your fault, well something got my back up this morning, Yesterday I built and wired a small heating control panel with a CPU inside it, I wired it to spec but the engineer is adamant that I wired it wrong in fact he had me change my wiring round on 2 terminals and I know I did not wire it that way, sometimes you have to bite your tongue and take criticism when it is not our fault, the worse part is he goes to the owner and tells him what I am suppose to of done wrong, oh boy talk about steam coming out of my head, well I will get my own back on him.

You know life is supposed to be easy so why do folks get a buzz at putting people down when there is no need to and stand up like a man and admit the CPU was goosed before he turned the unit on, this CPU was taken out of an old panel so my first thoughts is that it was knackered before hand, oh well just starting to cool down now, lets hope we win the lottery soon.

I really should get out more. Just come off a 20 minute call to the Schools Supplies Service". I was delighted to be told that I was one of 3 photographers they wanted to include in their booklets offering quality service providers to over 300 schools in the LS postcode. Of course I knew it was an advertising scam but decided I would have some fun with my cold caller counterscript I have which asks them as many questions as they do  but getting in first. I now know that it is a nice job she has , with no extra study needed to qualify, not on commission, has been in such work for 12 years and with them for the last 3 and it is a good company to work for with prospects. Also time off is allowed for doctors / dentist appointments and you can earn a reasonable living. I said I might be more interested therefore in working for them than advertising with them at £150 + vat given that I knew there was a very strict procurement system running through our LEA for services which their company was not complying with. When she retorted that it was primarily private schools they worked with I had to say I was surprised at the numbers and had she ever been to Leeds. When she highlighted the independence of academies I was surprised that she did not have on her list the only academy serving our area but had others - "err others don`t exist just now" I told her. I asked her what image on my website made me one of her 3 preferred suppliers saying as how none of the school work I had done was on there and she had to explain that unfortunately she was getting an error message on my website but I had come out in the top names on a search for photographers in Leeds on google. If only - that`s never happened for me  ;D. In the end she said maybe I wanted to think about it and call her back and hung up on me!  :)

I know it`s petty and was a waste of my time too but you have to have a laugh sometime ;)

Remember, revenge is sweet but non-fattening!

Before I retired I drove a black cab in Manchester for many years. One day when I was the second cab on the rank at Piccadilly station, I watched half interested as a very famous long blonde haired hairdresser supervised his underlings as they loaded boxes of hair products into the first cab. He was throwing a real hissy fit in front of a large queue of people, berating his staff loudly for not stacking the boxes in the way that he wanted.

He then climbed into my cab with I presume his PA who curtly told me where they were going. I looked in my rear view mirror and looked  him in the eye saying, " I know you". He replied in the smug way that certain "Celebs adopt when they are talking to menials who are beneath them. "Do you"? "Yes" I replied. "You're that barber of the tele"!   His face was a picture as he smiled back at me through gritted teeth.  ::)

After a lot of issues, it appears my broadband may actually be working after 7 weeks of being under Virgin's control.
It's been up and down like a wh***s draws, for want of a more apt phrase.

It is currently hooked up via the test socket, and no one has contacted me in the last 6 days to tell me anything. It's holding a steady bandwidth and connection rate, but not as much as i am supposed to be getting. And still haven't been advised what the 'known issue' is with my router that impedes download but happily encourages upload!

By and large, i've been happy with things Sir RB puts his name to, but in this instance - i'm not so happy.
So, time to go and do battle with the tech support and get the usual apologies at poor communication skills from the 'specialist tech support' who are to important to talk with a menial customer like me  >:(

I hate to mention this, but if it works in the test socket but not the master then it's usually the wiring.  The stuff you have to fix.

2 thoughts on that...

1 i'm renting, so not my responsibility
2 the complex i'm living has very strict rules on what you do and don't do - in this case telephone cables are the responsibility of BT, even internal. All tied in with strict planning permission.

But i accept that there is a problem and it's going to be an issue

'Over there,' I've only been doing the competition in the last year or so, but I'm getting fed up with that as well now.
But it's still a love-hate relationship with that site. I 'started out' there, learned a lot, and made many friends, not all of whom have moved over here.

Mick: The spellchecker thinks 'love-hate' should be 'overheat'! Very apt, as a lot of people overheat, due to the problems!
