Just got over that Irv. It took 3 weeks to go (sorry). No amount of alcohol could shift it! I felt like I'd been run over by a bus and then someone beat me up afterwards. I probably didn't help by still  going to work and not doing anything about it. Take plenty of benydrol to stop the nose from running and Ester vitamin c every morning to keep your pecker up. :legit:

Same here on the North East coast. Was a cracking sunrise which I had to watch from the comfort of my armchair with the morning cuppa.

Not having the equivalent of a local High St. I've been waiting for Snow to get out and shoot some night time Christmas lighting (brown bushes just doesn't cut it). No go. Dreaming of a White Christmas but forecast is extremely low chance.  :'(

3 inches of wet snow, followed by flash freeze equals 3 vehicles with frozen doors. Standing out in the dark in -7 C. weather chipping frozed snow from around the door seams was not fun.  >:(

WAMT - A wee slug deciding to end its year with a pop big time  :uglystupid2: by crawling into the fencer unit!  :'(  - Cleared the fried ash and thankfully there is a measure of function back in the electric fencer.  :)

What's an electric fencer? I feel my life would be improved imeasureably by the acquisition of such a device.

My term for the box of electric wizardry that turns the thin wire loop into a fenced enclosure, and gives the ponies a gentle reminder not to reach over to grace or graze the other side. Shocking stuff I know, but it means grazing can be managed so they do not get Lamenitus, destroy young plants or get into the veg garden to snuffle up a winter lettuce  ;)

More than annoyed, I was heartbroken.

Sandolino. Born 2004, died 31.12.2011
Sandolino was brought from Romania on the 29th December 2011 to be rehomed. In the night of 31.12.2011 he was bitten to death by the other dogs in his pen due to panic during the New Year's Eve fireworks. What a waste.

So sad, and not such a happy start when this happens. Our dog always behaves oddly when there are fireworks about or lightning in a storm. Hope 2012 is more cheerful for you.

That was a sad start to the new year. Luckily our kennels are in the countryside and miss a lot of the nuisance element of people letting off fireworks on the slightest pretext [I'd ban the bloody things apart from proper displays]. The dogs are also kenneled separately - most of them would argue even without fireworks etc!
