Need to be square on to increase the focus area for this type of shot. Not a bad effort but remember the DOF is very small, so any slight movement can affect the final image. Keep trying and it will become second nature. Very Happy

This type of shot should be taken on a tripod with a remote release, live view active and manually focused. I find macro the most rewarding type of photography when you get it right. But for a first effort - i think you've done extremely well.
