Whilst the original colour image has much to commend it, I think it works better in mono, but then I would wouldn't I. It has a full range of tones and emphasises the bone structure of the face. I think the background could be darkened even more which would make the woman stand out even more prominentlt, but that's just a personal thing. Great image :tup:

A little over cooked perhaps making her harder in character and hair detail harder to see

Thank you OB and Andy. This is an experiment, something I've never done before, and I do agree the image has changed.
