The Alpine Garden.

The one sunny day we had, I simply had to go to town to catch some autumn colour in the parks.
This is the alpine garden, with in the back ground the Titanic Memorial.

Thanks Matthew and Andy. Matt, it looks wonderful, and it is, but a walk ... It is only a small alpine garden, on the edge of a local park. Great to look at the plants and the small pond and little stream, but five steps and you're through it!

Ahh, maybe a good place to sit then.....I've been enjoying walking from the farm into town lately, it's only a 3-4 mile round trip, but I enjoy doing it now even in the cold....it's surprising the smells and sights you miss sat in a car.

Sitting is okay. Glad you're discovering the delights of walking! You do indeed see, smell and hear a lot more than when you're driving.

I love walking and cycling. But also often see things when driving that I wish I could photograph if only I could stop. Like a georgeous double rainbow yesterday, directly ahead on the motorway.

I don't drive anymore, as I had to give up my licence when I lost (most of) my sight, so I don't have those problems!
