Friendly face, but can be vicious, I believe. Waving back, ... from a distance.

Only vicious if you get too close. You cannot touch the seal pups at all - close as you are - or the mother might reject the pup. It`s the mum and bulls that can be vicious- the pups are just curious and cute.
