Stag

Just caught this one at the right moment, staring straight down the barrel of the lens. A judge awared me 8.5 out of 10 for this got 1/2 knocked off as the hind in the background was not facing the camera apparently. Others at camera club all thought it was a great shot and disagreed with the judges comments so I thought I'd post it for your critique.

Keith you should point out to the judge that the clue is in the name, hind, so with that in mind you got the "hind" in correct pose. I'm surprised said judge didn't dock you another point for having the grass in the antler! It's a great picture. Just about every picture taken could be improved in some way or other - but i think this will sit nicely in your album just as it is for quite a while!

Cracking shot and composition. You've caught him looking directly at the camera and giving his mating call. What more could you do? The judge was wrong. Very Happy
