All Alone

Apparently this little sparrow had been on our path for a couple of hours before I took its' picture. If it's mother doesn't show up soon I will have to move it somewhere safe so the cats don't get it.

Great animal 'documentary' capture!

Lovely shot. Try not to handle it. Use gloves if you must . If you use bare hands his mother may reject him all together . She is probably watching and may come and feed it when it feels safe . I'm sure you know all this any way . I came across a blackcap chick and both parents were on hand . I waved a large blade of grass(not in it's face) but so as to guide it back int the bushes

unfortunately it was still there an hour or so later so my wife picked it up using gloves and put it on the covered bird table for protection . it was very weak and i doubt it lasted until the morning .There were plenty of sparrows around but they all ignored it.

Sometimes nature is so crawl. Great shot though.
