Volcanic Ash Friday

When they announces that the volcanic ash in April would result in great sunsets. I went down to the Marine Way Bridge and started taking pictures. This is one of the four which I liked most. The bridge and its two statues are among my favourite subjects. The sunset was excellent and there wasn't too much need for a lot of post processing. I did go back to the original and re-processed it recently.

Lovely, amazing Dave hasn't got one like this! I think the large beach at Sou'ey always helps tov produce great sunsets...

I thought it was pithead gear! Embarrassed Cracking shot and composition. Love the sky and the way you position the sun. Very Happy I went looking for sunrises/sunsets at the time but didn't see any effect. Sad

Thanks very much, the Marine Way Bridge is my favourite subject when there's a good sunset. I am waiting to have a go at the DC3 statue outside Pontins, but there's a lot of lamp standards around it. I think this was the best sunset we had at the time. The rest were a bit of a let down.
