Many thanks - being chosen was a big surprise! This was actually one of the first three 5x4 photos I ever made, taken from a layby close to Pulborough Brooks.

Was it shot in B&W (as I bet it looks good in full colour as well) ?

Black and white (FP4 Plus). I liked the way that the light caught those leaves in an almost specualr reflection, and printed it dark to bring out the texture. Interestingly (to me) the 1950s Symmar lens I used produced a small amount of veilng flare in the mid distance, and I have also printed it to preserve this mist like quality. On this version, I should have printed down (i.e. darkened) the light patch on the right hand edge.
