I took this from my garden this morning, using my new Panasonic FZ 150 . The camera was hand held, and I am quite pleased with it because there was a lot of light pollution from the street lighting.

Nicely done. I presume that you have cropped this a tad?
Cabbyjohn   [Jan 14, 2012 at 10:40 AM]
No I don't recall cropping it. I just put it on maximum zoom and a night sky setting, leaned on a garden table and hoped for the best. I did tweak the sharpness on P/shop though

I was advised to take moonshots on a 'sunny' setting, as it is in fact reflected sunlight you photograph. It seems it does not matter too much, as this one came out very well!

Not cropped is most odd: the picture I posted was straight out of the camera at 30X zoom, and you can see it doesn't fill the frame. The FZ150 haas a 24x max zoom, so I am puzzled. It's a corking camera though.

I can't remember what setting the camera was on. I took some pics using "IE" setting, which is 24x zoom. I also took some pics on Manual setting, which extends the zoom to 32x. I'm not sufficiently up to speed with the camera to know whether the picture I posted was on IE or manual. I don't fully understand the Exif thing which would possibly tell me? Thanks for the comments though, they are appreciated.
