Making Hay

Took this from the spare bedroom window. They are busy on the farm today. There are actually 3 tractors on the go, the third is just out of shot because if I zoomed out, I'd get part of the farmyard in the frame and I didn't want that.

Nice landscape - attractive composition. Of some technical interest too, with round bales (which we call Dougals (after the magic roundabout dog!) and rectangular "bricks".

Thanks Simon. Didn't know they call them Dougals. Yeah our Landlord is in the Deere towing the round baler in the foreground. I think he hasn't long taken delivery of it because his wife was out looking on and it's all shiney and new looking.

What a great shot Mat and well done on IOTW  It reminds me of summers when I was a young lad collecting and stacking bales by hand.

I can feel the heat! Wonderful summer shot. Congratulations on IOTW!

Yes nice shot there Matthew - though I cannot help feeling a crop off the top below the earth mound with a focus entirely on the field would help it. Just my opinion though and a nice summer feel to it.

Thanks for IOTW, it is always a nice surprise! I know what you mean Jinky, the earth mound does draw attention away a wee bit from the main shot, will take that tip on board  Haha Graham, if you want more then check out Making Hay pt2... Very Happy
