Fly Agaric (Growing sideways, not fallen over!)

As volunteer rangers in Lakeside Country Park, we not only come across shrubs, trees and litter; there are often very interesting other sights to be seen too. Here a very small selection. (In case of the carp; a very large selection!)

Lovely colours. I seen a few of these today and was wondering, are they mushrooms or toadstools? are they edible?

To be honest, I haven't seen that many this year. In this case, they are (I think) called mushrooms as well as toadstools. As far as I'm aware, they are not edible!!!

They are poisonous hence the red cap, and are know as toadstools. Cracking shot and well captured. Very Happy
